berita2.com (Jakarta): Kali ini PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) menggelar "touring" (jelajah) Jawa yang berjarak sekitar 1.277 kilometer dengan menggunakan motor sport Honda New Mega Pro, guna menguji ketangguhan mesin baru sepeda motor itu.

"Kami mengajak banyak komunitas dalam turing ini untuk terlibat langsung dalam pembuktian kehandalan Honda New Mega Pro. Merekalah nanti yang akan membuktikan layak tidaknya Honda New Mega Pro menyandang gelar sebagai `street fighter` sejati di pasar motor sport negeri ini," ujar Executive Vice President PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) Johannes Loman dalam siaran pers di Jakarta, Jumat (1/10/2010).

Loman secara resmi melepas rombongan turing yang diikuti 99 pengendara dari komunitas Honda Mega Pro, jurnalis, dan komunitas blogger otomotif. Touring ini mengambil tema "Brotherhood."

Loman menyatakan touring Jelajah Jawa dengan rute utama Jakarta-Bromo ini merupakan salah satu kegiatan yang tepat untuk membuktikan ketangguhan mesin baru dan kenyamanan handling Honda New MegaPro.

Dalam perjalanan yang panjang ini akan terdapat bermacam medan jalan, dari yang biasa, jalan lurus, hingga jalan penuh kelok dan tanjakan yang menantang.

Perjalanan para peserta turing ini dimulai dari pabrik perakitan motor sport Honda yang berlokasi di Jl Raya Pegangsaan Dua km 2,2 Kelapa Gading, Jakarta Utara. Turing akan dilanjutkan dengan perjalanan panjang melintasi lima provinsi di Pulau Jawa.

Rombongan turing ini akan membelah Pulau Jawa dengan menggunakan 15 unit Honda New Mega Pro. Dari Jakarta, peserta akan menuju Bandung dengan rute Cikampek-Purwakarta. Tiba di Bandung, main dealer Honda wilayah Jawa Barat, PT Daya Adira Mustika, sudah menyiapkan acara khusus menyambut rombongan touring.
